A large percentage of the articles, white papers, case studies, blogs, etc. that I write are ’sponsored’. Yes, this means I get paid for writing. For instance, I get paid by some sites on a per article basis, per blog post, or on the amount of traffic generated. This does not mean that I get paid for EVERYTHING I write. But as a general rule I try to put food on the table like the rest of the workforce. There are occasional exceptions to that rule as I do write for pure enjoyment. If you care to ask if a particular piece of collateral has been paid for..just ask. But rest assured, what I write is MY opinion, no one else’s, and I will not write for the sake of making money. I am a technologist first, freelance writer second, and will never write something that I don’t agree with. |
